I will be the first to admit that a very small percentage of us in TVC Youth are high-adventure or extreme sports athletes (or athletes at all for that matter). However, last summer the high school students went on our first White water rafting experience!
Knowing that the rafting guides were skilled enough to control the raft on their own was much comfort. However, after taking our first couple rapids we lost our fears and enjoyed the challenge.
The rafting was a great example for us as we spent the weekend in times of devotion, learning about "mountain top experiences" as well as learning what we must do when we "come down from the mountain."
